Subjective Experience and Estimation of Moving-Image Time

THE PROJECT
SEEM/IT explores the subjective perception of time in the audiovisual experience by investigating how some specific semiotic aspects of the audiovisual text (in particular, framing / camera position and rhythm of editing) affect and shape the experience of time in spectators and differentiate it it from ordinary experience.

RESEARCH TEAM
SEEM/IT project is part of the PRIN 2015 “Perception, Performativity and Cognitive Sciences” (Principal investigator: Antonio Pennisi, University of Messina). The research team is leaded by Ruggero Eugeni (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) and involves Adriano D’Aloia (UniNettuno University), Stefania Balzarotti, Federica Cavaletti and Massimo Locatelli (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore).
